We do that at our fire pit too. Not sure how you do it, but we take 1foot pieces of 1inch copper pipe and put old garden hose inside the copper pipe.We drilled a couple holes in the copper for more color effect as well. throw it in the fire and you get everything from blue to purple to teal. all depends what hose you used. Have no clue how it works but it last a heck of a lot longer than the packs of crystals you can buy at walmart.
Wow, that’s a creative way to do it! I found these “Yule logs” at a small locally owned bookstore that I try to support. They were great and seemed to last a good while.
